Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) reported its Q1 FY26 results, posting a 5.02% year-on-year increase in consolidated profit after tax (PAT) to Rs 10,986 crore.

Key Highlights: Value of New Business (VNB) surged 20.75% to Rs 1,944 crore, signalling improved new business profitability. VNB margin expanded 150 basis points to 15.4%, driven by a favourable shift in product mix towards non-participating savings and protection products. Assets under management (AUM) grew 6.47% to Rs 57.05 lakh crore, reinforcing LIC's position as India's largest asset manager.
