Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) delivered a robust Q2 FY26 performance, with consolidated net profit jumping 31% year-on-year to Rs 10,098 crore.
Key Highlights: Net premium income for the quarter stood at Rs 126,930 crore, up 5.4% year-on-year. Value of New Business (VNB) for the first half (H1 FY26) reached Rs 5,111 crore, growing 12.30% over the year-ago period. The growth was driven by a shift towards higher-margin non-participating products and improved persistency ratios. LIC continued to maintain its dominant market position with over 60% share in the individual business segment.
